Being a
singleton pup and having no siblings to play with, she spends a
lot of her waking hours chewing on mom's ears and feet! Taffy,
being the patient mother that she is, makes no complaints.
The pup's teeth are coming in, so this may not last! Pup can hear
now so is responding to human voices. She loves to be held and
lick our skin. We love to hold her and savour that wonderful
puppy breath!
She is taking a great interest in mom's food and tries to crawl into the
bowl. She is moving around more quickly and is much more
secure on her feet.
She is starting to have play time for short periods with her puppy toys
in a secure pen, to guard against all our adult Goldens
retrieving and walking off with them! Our young cat Sparky
jumps in to wrestle with her, but she is not at all impressed at
the moment.

Pup is now best of friends
with Sparky, the cat, and they play well together. Pup spent several
hours with her new family and handled very well. She wolfed down her
first meal of mushy puppy food and loved every morsel! She is a very
confident pup and loves to explore the kitchen - she shows no
timidity or fear and we are very careful to make sure she doesn't
have any negative experiences. She is very friendly and responds
eagerly to humans. She still loves to chew on mom's ears and feet -
mom is so patient and devoted!
At 6 weeks,
this little girl is very motivated, curious, confident and friendly.
Sparky the cat is her 'big brother' and watches over her like a
guardian angel. She loves wrestling and play biting with Taffy and
Taffy is so gentle and patient with her. She definitely has a strong
retrieving instinct and loves retrieving and carrying all manner of
articles around in her mouth. She is very active but is also content
just to play quietly with her toys. She leaves next week to start
her new life with her forever family and we will miss her terribly!
